Sara Doty, MA, LMFT, LPC Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Michigan

Sara is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Professional Counselor, who graduated from Western Michigan University with a Master's Degree in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling. She has extensive clinical experience working with children, adolescents, couples, and families in a variety of settings. Prior to starting with GLPG in 2019, she worked in South Carolina for 3.5 years employed as a mental health clinician; providing individual, family, and crisis based care. The population served also included blended, foster, and adoptive families. Sara is also certified as a PREPARE/ENRICH facilitator.

Sara believes that each person's journey in therapy is unique, and focuses on using techniques and styles that are individualized to each's needs. Sara strongly believes that therapy is a process focused on growth and empowerment based on a foundation of trust and partnership between the client and therapist, with the goal that one can leave therapy with the tools to succeed in their daily lives independently.
