Nikki Bonter, LMSW Licensed Master Social Worker in Michigan
About Nikki Bonter
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a proud member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), with over 20 years of clinical experience supporting individuals, youth, children, and families across diverse settings, including social service agencies, medical clinics, schools, universities (MSU), and hospitals.
My experience includes working with children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced trauma, as well as those managing behavioral challenges at home or in school. I also have specialized training in supporting children, youth, and young adults with developmental disabilities—particularly Autism.
I am certified in EMDR and have witnessed firsthand how this intervention can create meaningful and lasting change. Additionally, I am certified in Project ImPACT, a parent-mediated intervention that helps caregivers support their young child’s language, social engagement, play, and imitation skills.
My areas of special interest include depression, anxiety, eating disorders, life transitions, and grief and loss. I approach therapy from a strength-based and client-centered perspective, working collaboratively with each client to help them achieve their goals of self-actualization and empowerment.
I am committed to serving and learning from individuals of all backgrounds, regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, spirituality, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, age, or economic status.
