About Lisa Stoll

Hello, my name is Lisa Stoll, LMSW. I studied psychology at Oakland University for my bachelors degree. With an early passion for research and clinical work, I went on to graduate school to pursue social work at Wayne State University, where I obtained my master of social work (MSW) degree, with a clinical focus in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I worked at the University of Michigan, Addiction Research Center, where I worked on clinical trials regarding substance use and the effectiveness of CBT. I also worked in a community mental health setting as a therapist for a diverse population of individuals. There I was able to highlight my authentic passion for helping others in large volumes of individuals and families. 

I use a genuine empathetic approach to build trust and comfort for clients. My areas of expertise include: PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Substance Abuse, Attachment & Abandonment issues, Couples therapy, Personality Disorders, LGBTQ issues, Family issues, Teen issues, Suicidal Ideation & Behaviors.
