About Kenesha Taylor

Hello, I’m Kenesha. I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC). I earned my undergraduate degree, in Criminal Justice with a behavioral science focus from University of Michigan. I obtained my Master’s degree in Counseling from Wayne State University, with a concentration in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling.

During my career span of being in the mental health field I have worked with individuals from all areas and walks of life with severe mental health disorders, such as (PTSD, schizophrenia, personality disorder, bipolar disorder, etc), down to common mental health conditions such as, (anxiety, depression, attention hyper-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, etc). I assisted individuals with mental, physical, and intellectual disabilities as they work toward their personal, career, and independent living goals. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults ages 15 and up. Through counseling, my goal is to help individuals understand their feelings, identify the issues that impact their mental health, and tailor the appropriate skills that will help one to overcome their challenges. I am passionate about assisting those navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, grief and loss, life adjustments, depression, relationship challenges, self-esteem, academic performance, self-improvement to improve overall well-being and life satisfaction and career development.

My therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Solution-Focused Therapy. I tend to also use an integrative approach, which allows me to draw from a diverse range of other modalities, tailoring my approach to meet each client’s unique needs.

I look forward to working with you and supporting you through the difficulties or life transitions you may be facing. You’re not alone—I appreciate your courage and commitment to internal growth. Let’s take this journey together!
