About Jenny Brummer
Jennifer Brummer (Jenny) is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who has worked as a Social Worker in Minnesota since 1994. She has a passion for working with individuals to reduce the impact of social pressures and whose lives have been negatively impacted by poor mental health and/or chemical health issues. Jenny completed her undergraduate degree at the The College of St. Benedict in 1993, receiving a bachelor’s degree in social work. She later went on to receive her Clinical Masters in Social Work from St. Catherine University in 2014. Jenny started her career working with individuals with developmental disabilities and special needs, owning and operating a small social service agency. Jenny’s passion for social justice inspired her to return to school to fight for the rights and lives of those struggling with these challenges. During graduate school, Jenny was selected to intern at the VAMC (Veteran’s Affair’s Medical Center) in the outpatient mental health clinic. This experience led to working at 3 major metro hospitals and trauma centers, providing an extremely comprehensive level of training and expertise. Jenny specializes in the treatment of childhood abuse and trauma, anxiety disorders, depression, substance abuse and dependency, psychotic disorders, as well as working with clients living with cognitive disorders or intellectual disabilities. In her free time, Jenny enjoys traveling, listening to live music, spending time outdoors, being with her family and binge-watching true crime documentaries. Jenny believes strongly in the mind-body connection that supports both physical and mental wellness, as well as the power of Mindfulness practices.
