Jackie Flemmer, LMSW Licensed Master Social Worker in Michigan
About Jackie Flemmer
It can be overwhelming to find a therapist. I like to make that easier by providing a safe space to be and to talk. By embracing a humanistic approach, I join my clients on their journey to mental wellness. I strive to help them understand their values and behaviors and how to better align them. I attained a Master of Social Work degree from the University of North Dakota in 2012 and have since worked with clients across the ages and from many walks of life.
I enjoy working with adolescents and adults in various life stages. My passion is to help those struggling with anxiety, depression, adjustments, and trauma to improve their quality of life. My hope is to help clients feel supported, process feelings and experiences, and gain meaningful skills to take with them. I am very person-centered in my approaches and gravitate towards trauma-informed and cognitive behavioral styles of interventions. I have received specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy(EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy(CPT), and Parent-Child Interactional Therapy(PCIT).
Having spent time in the National Guard, it is my honor and pleasure to help veterans and service members from all eras on their journey to healing. I enjoy the outdoors, family, reading, festivals, and the Detroit Tigers in my spare time. I welcome clients and future clients to come as they are and to reach out to me with questions.
