Do the overwhelming demands of life have you or your child feeling stressed, anxious or down? You are not alone! We all experience challenges that impact our daily lives. The first step towards making a change is recognizing that help is needed. Give yourself credit for being here. I know how hard it can be to ask for help. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment for you to navigate through life’s challenges, while building positive coping skills. These skills will contribute to a greater sense of well-being. Together we will work on overcoming demanding thoughts and feelings and find a healthy balance through self-discovery.
My approach is to listen, reflect, and empower clients to build a strong foundation from their inner strengths. I use a multi-theory approach to support the client and their needs. Some of the main interventions I use are a strength-based perspective, mindfulness, cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), solution focused therapy, while incorporating a mind-body connection, nutrition, exercise, and sleep.
My beliefs, values, and experiences have contributed to my professional identity. They have led me to have a better understanding of myself and others. I feel that personal experiences are a large part of shaping who we are. Personally, I know that my past experiences have served as a great learning tool for me, and they have helped strengthen my personal and professional identity. While working in the public school system the past 4 years, I have recognized the increase in anxiety, depression, and mental health issues that our kids and families are faced with. I am here to help and walk beside my clients on their journey. I believe that a trusting client and therapist relationship is the strong foundation to effective therapy, and I look forward to building that foundation with you!
