About Christina Brady

Welcome to accomplishing the initial steps of prioritizing your mental health. It takes insight and bravery to begin the journey of healing. Choosing a qualified therapist to support you on this path of healing is an important step, so I am glad that you’re here.

I have been a practicing Licensed Professional Counselor for over 20 years, working with children, adults, families and couples through child welfare, public school/college setting and private practice.

The treatment provided is based on an eclectic range of theories, treatments and techniques to meet individual client’s personal needs and preferences. Client centered treatment is provided, which is based on the belief that the power of therapeutic outcome derives from within you. It is my belief that the therapist’s role is to elicit and guide the healing from within your own strengths to bring relief to your concerns. Clients typically seek therapy when they are attempting to resolve one of the 3 C’s: Coping, Changing or making a Choice. Once the purpose of therapy is identified, support is provided with goal setting, treatment and daily practices in order to successfully reach the desired outcomes. Activities or “homework” will be implemented between sessions in order to bridge the gap between a client’s day to day activities and therapy sessions.

To begin the therapeutic process, the initial visit is a safe interactive opportunity for the client/therapist to get to know one another and to determine how to proceed with treatment.

Your progress is my priority. I strongly believe that what contributes to a positive prognosis is a good rapport between the client and therapist. If that rapport is not established or compromised for any reason, I encourage open communication in order to assist with a referral to a therapist that may be a better fit for you. Also, if at any time we feel that progress isn’t being made, I will gladly assist in any outside referrals in order to better meet your needs. You’ve come this far and I don’t want any barriers to interfere with your progress, so I will support you in transitioning to the best support for you as possible.
