About Cerene Kole
We all face emotional unrest and what can sometimes seem like insurmountable obstacles throughout our lives. My role is to help you find solutions to overcome them. I help people work through a wide range of challenges including anxiety, depression, relationship issues and life adjustments/transitions. By providing insights, tools, and strategies my goal is to help you become your strongest, most self-confident, and happiest self.
I work with adults, couples, and families. I provide therapy in a non-judgmental, safe, and honest environment. I’m trained in several therapeutic techniques and tailor my approach to best meet your needs and achieve our therapeutic goals. While every client is different, I find I most often utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and positive psychology. I've worked in several clinical settings, including private practice, community mental health centers and hospitals.
I'm a fully licensed Ph.D. psychologist. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Virginia and went on to earn my M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Maryland–College Park. I completed my internship and post-doctoral fellowship training at the University of Maryland Medical System in Baltimore. I now reside in Metro Detroit, and I am eager to help you start living your best life.
